Columbia Physics' Undergraduate Awarded the Prestigous Churchill Fellowship!

A Columbia University undergraduate in Physics has been awarded the Churchill Fellowship, with provide funding and support for outstanding students pursuing one-year of graduate study in science, mathematics or engineering at the University of Cambridge. Administered by the Winston Churchill Foundation of the United States, the award is designed to  recognize students with the demonstrated capacity to advance the evolution of these fields of study.

One of this year's recipients is Brian Jiang, a Physics, Math and Computer Science Major with interests centered around understanding fundamental physics, modelling complex and chaotic phenomena, and exploring the large-scale evolution of our universe. Brian is currently carrying out multiple independent research projects with various members of the Physics faculty; include one project with Professor Norman Christ on lattice QCD.
