Professor Brian Greene Awarded the Michael Pupin Medal

During Reunion Week at Columbia University's Fu Foundation School of Engineering & Applied Sciences (SEAS), Dean Shih-Fu Chang awarded distinguished CUSEAS alumni & faculty for their work in STEM fields.
Brian Greene, Professor of Physics and Mathematics, was awarded the Michael Pupin Medal. Only the second recipient of this medal, Professor Greene was awarded for his contributions to mathematics, theoretical physics, and cosmology. His outstanding contributions include the discovery of spacetime mirror symmetry as well as his development and furtherance of string theory.
