Astrophysics, Gravitational Waves, and Cosmology

I grew up in Massachusetts and earned my B.A. in Physics at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, where I researched coordinate gauge conditions for simulating black-hole spacetimes. My main interests at Columbia are theoretical astrophysics and gravitational waves.

I held internships at Riverside Research, a U.S.-government contractor that evolved out of the Electronics Research Laboratory at Columbia. My paternal grandparents were Taiwanese immigrants and I am a lineal descendant of John and Priscilla Alden on my mother's side.
