I graduated from Peking University in 2020 and joined then Prof. Dean's group at Columbia, where I mainly focus on electrical and optical devices of transitional metal dichalcogenides. I am very interested in band engineering and manipulating in low-dimensional materials. Recently, we developed a technique of patterning atomically thin WSe2 flakes by oxidizing them with a laser. Benefiting from this, I am working on continuous variable twisted angle WSe2/WS2 heterobilayers, which are made of WS2 sheet stacked with a laser-defined WSe2 noodle that is bent with a metal handle by AFM. We expect systematic research on the dependence of the moiré exciton emission on the twisted angle between the two materials.
