- SPECTRA is a student-led group that aims to foster community within the physics department.
- The Physics Graduate Council organizes events for the student body and communicates directly with the Columbia Physics Department's leadership and committees to advocate for Physics Ph.D. students.
- Undergraduate physics majors at Columbia maintain a chapter of the Society of Physics Students. This student-run group organizes meetings and other activities of interest to physics majors.
- Counseling and Psychological Services supports the psychological and emotional well-being of the Columbia community.
- Disability Services facilitates equal access for students with disabilities by coordinating accommodations and support services.
- The Ombuds Office provides a safe space for faculty, students, staff and affiliates to confidentially discuss work-related issues, academic concerns, clarification of policies and many other concerns and issues.
- The Go Ask Alice! site is supported by a team of Columbia University health promotion specialists, health care providers, and other health professionals, along with a staff of information and research specialists and writers.
