Research Interest

Originally from Lecce, in the south of Italy, I completed my undergraduate and graduate studies at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa. I joined Columbia as a postdoctoral research scientist working in the High Energy Theory group.

My research interests are in Quantum Field Theory, and its applications, from gravity (cosmology and black holes) to particle physics (dark matter, electroweak physics, QCD axion), to condensed matter (superfluids and more). I keep an interest in the mathematical aspects of theoretical physics.

Beyond physics, I have an interest for photography, and I like hiking and doing all sorts of outdoor activities.
