Giancarlo graduated from Columbia in 2021 with a BA in Physics and Education. As an undergrad, he did research in condensed matter with Professor Abhay Pasupathy and in the Education Department with Professor Erika Kitzmiller. During the 2021-2022 academic year, he was a full-time teacher at Xaverian High School in Brooklyn NY. Now back at Columbia, Giancarlo hopes to explore more 2D materials and implement new pedagogical strategies toward equity in education and science.
